Perry Farrell's first public outing post-Jane's Addiction tour cancellation
Perry Farrell steps out with wife Etty Lau amid medical treatment following Jane's Addiction reunion tour
Jane’s Addiction front man Perry Farrell faced the public for the first time since having an intense onstage outburst during the band’s reunion tour.
On Friday, September 27, Farrell, 65, stepped out to take a stroll with his wife Etty Lau Farrell in Santa Monica, California. The couple was joined by their dogs.
The singer-songwriter and his wife opted for casual outfits. he wore a fastened overcoat, while Etty sported a blue V-neck sweater with a black beanie.
The couple’s latest sighting marked Farrell’s first public appearance since the unfortunate incident at Jane’s Addiction concert in Boston took place on September 13, during which the lead singer threw a punch at guitarist Dave Navarro.
In the fan captured video, Farrell seemingly became angry as he repeated what appeared to be a chant at the audience, before turning toward Navarro, 57, and busting him.
Navarro did not reciprocate and calmly attempted to hold his bandmate back. Farrell then punched Navarro, and people could be seen running onstage to restrain him as the concert ended abruptly.
The band issued an apology and cancelled the tour, eventually after cancelling a show in the aftermath of the incident.
Before the tour cancellation, Farrell apologised to his bandmates and fans, while Navarro also posted an independent statement alongside the other bandmates.
