Queen Camilla’s reaction to fan’s strange curtsy captured at RAF event
Queen Camilla puzzled as fan's performed strange curtsy at RAF event
Queen Camilla appeared perplexed when a royal fan performed an unusual curtsy during her engagement on Friday.
The Queen was visiting RAF Leeming in her capacity as Honorary Air Commodore. Station Commander Group Captain Paul Hamilton introduced her to members of the 11 Squadron QEAF, who train both RAF and Qatari pilots on Hawk jets.
Camilla also met with the 90 Signals, who specialize in communications and cyber defense, and a counter-drone team involved in the Coronation.
During the visit, a woman performed an odd curtsy with her arms extended horizontally, leaving Queen Camilla looking puzzled as she extended her hand for a handshake, reported GB News.
The day also brought some challenges with the weather; a strong wind caused the Queen's meticulously styled hair to be blown out of place as she greeted service personnel and their families.
Remarking on the strong wind, she was told: “It literally started blowing up just before you arrived.”
After posing for a group photograph, Camilla was awarded a medallion by Qatari pilots.
“Thank you very much, I shall find somewhere safe for this,” she said.
At the end of her visit, Camilla enjoyed a flyover by three Hawk jets. She then travelled back to Scotland to join King Charles for the weekend.
The royal couple will attend the Braemar Games and commemorate the second anniversary of Charles's accession.
