Machine Gun Kelly is opening up about his ‘troubled’ relationship with his mother once and for all.
During a candid interview with Bunnie XO on the eighth season of her popular podcast Dumb Blonde, the 34-year-old admitted, "I would like to say for the record I love my mom dearly and I misrepresented her a lot early in my career."
Speaking of his estranged mother, who left the family when the singer was young, Kelly told Bunnie XO, "And not misrepresented in the sense of not speaking truth. I was speaking my truth, but I didn't give the masses the chance to understand her truth."
The Bloody Valentine singer revealed issues with his mother in his 2019 track Burning Memories.
In the song, Kelly belted out lyrics, "I spent 20 years waiting on the stairs / Now I'm finished thinking anyone'll ever hear these prayers."
The American rapper and singer-songwriter reunited with his mother in 2021 and formally introduced her to his Instagram followers a year later, sharing a heartwarming photo with a simple yet poignant caption, "Introducing my mom."
