King Charles receives ‘support’ from key royal after Harry, Meghan interview
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle left King Charles upset with latest stunt
King Charles garnered support from a key member of the royal family amid the headline-making sit-down interview of his estranged son Prince Harry and daughter-in-law Meghan Markle.
For the unversed, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a joint appearance on CBS News yesterday, August 4, discussing the growing impact of cyberbullying and extending helping hands to parents whose children have been victimized by online hate.
Notably, the interview featured a clip from the former working royal's infamous Oprah Winfrey in which Meghan was talking about battling with suicidal thoughts.
It is pertinent to mention that Harry and Meghan's bombshell claims on Oprah's show left the whole royal family upset and it seemed like the bitter memories of the Monarch once again evoked.
Amid the growing tensions, King Charles has reportedly been relying on his family, especially on one of the senior members, the Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie Wessex.
In conversation with OK! magazine, royal commentator Jennie Bond said, "I think we can expect Sophie to keep up or even increase her workload as the key member of the royal family she now is. She has really come into her own in recent years and is now rightly getting the recognition she deserves."
She added, "The King relies heavily on the small band of working royals he has around him...particularly since his cancer diagnosis and with Catherine out of action. This, I think, has brought him closer than ever to his youngest brother and Sophie."
