Why Kourtney Kardashian locked herself in for 40 days after giving birth
Kourtney Kardashian secretly gave birth to Rocky Thirteen in November 2023
Kourtney Kardashian put herself on house arrest after giving birth to her son, Rocky Thirteen.
On this week’s episode of The Kardashians, filmed when Kourtney was still pregnant, the mom-of-four, 47, revealed that she had no plans of leaving the house for 40 days after she had given birth to her baby boy, who is the first child she welcomed with her husband Travis Barker in November 2023.
When her younger sister Kourtney expressed her surprise, Kourtney explained, “In many different cultures, women don’t leave the house after having a baby for 40 days, to let your body have that time to heal and beyond that.”
The Lemme founder further explained her decision, saying, “I’m really into attachment parenting. I really don’t separate from him. I love being at home right now, like my time is dedicated to taking care of my bay and bonding with him.”
Kourtney stuck to her plans, as she laid low in the one month following Rocky’s secret birth, that was revealed to the public some time later.
She also opted not to travel to Aspen for a family vacation.
