Celine Dion, Hauser slated for joint performance? ‘Waiting for our duet’
Celine Dion politely turned down Hauser's request to join him on stage during his Saturday show
Celine Dion made a memorable appearance at Hauser’s show in Las Vegas, where she turned down his request to perform together. However, she met him personally after the show, sparking speculations for any future collaborations.
Reflecting on this fan moment, the world-class cellist took to Instagram on Tuesday, June 25, sharing his thoughts about their bond and plans to hit the stage together.
"We are each other’s biggest fans! [red heart emoji]," Hauser wrote in the caption of an Instagram video featuring his meeting with Dion, accompanied by her twin sons.
"Patiently waiting for our duet and I know that she will be back on stage stronger than ever," he teased, adding, |because there is only one Celine! [strong and fire emoji] @celinedion."
The video included snippets from Hauser’s Rebel with a Cello Show, showing Dion giving a standing ovation after his tribute to her iconic song My Heart Will Go On from Titanic.
Dion was visibly moved by Hauser’s heartfelt rendition, sending flying kisses his way.
For the unversed, the widely acclaimed queen of power ballads attended Hauser’s show at Wynn Las Vegas on Saturday, June 22.
Hauser surprised Dion with an emotional performance of her iconic 27-year-old song from the 1997 film.
Despite being deeply touched by the gesture, Dion turned down his request to join him on stage due to her ongoing battle with stiff person syndrome.
