Prince William saves Carole Middleton from royal misstep in Kate’s absence
Princess Kate's parents attended Royal Ascot alongside Prince William, Queen Camilla
Prince William appeared to save Carole Middleton from a royal faux-pas with a heroic gesture at Royal Ascot.
The parents of Kate Middleton were a welcome surprise at the royal event, who joined the Prince of Wales, Queen Camilla, and the royal cousins on Wednesday.
In a sequence of photos making rounds on social media, William could be seen holding Carole’s hand, whose foot fell out of her as a result of her heel getting stuck in a grassy area.
To avoid her the embarassment of realization, the future King of England laughed at the situation as he helped her regain her balance.
During the evening, William appeared to be in quite a jolly mood, potentially owing to the Princess of Wales’ better health, underscored by her appearance at Trooping the Colour last week.
Moreover, Carole and Michael Middleton made their first appearance at the event after their daughter unveiled diagnosis with an undisclosed form of cancer.
The former businesswoman was dressed in a floral light blue organza dress by Self Portrait, which she paired with a matching-colour fascinator.
Zara Tindall, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were also in attendance as they showed off their competitive side by cheering for their favourite horses.
