Chris Brown gets stuck in mid-air during concert, keeps singing like a pro
Chris Brown gracefully dealt with an unexpected stage malfunction during recent concert
Chris Brown's concert at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, took a dramatic turn on Tuesday night when a technical malfunction left him suspended in mid-air.
The R&B singer was performing his song Under the Influence while gliding across the stage on wires but came to an abrupt halt when the wires failed.
Despite being stuck, Brown continued to sing, showcasing his professionalism. However, he eventually signalled to his team to assist him, looking visibly upset.
The crowd seemed oblivious to the issue at first, but Brown's composure and dedication to the show impressed fans.
After a ladder was brought to the stage, Brown descended it and concluded his performance, though not before exchanging a few words with a tour worker who assisted in moving the ladder.
He expressed his anger to the audience after the two-hour concert, but he also made fun of the circumstances.
Brown, who began his 11:11 tour last week, performed hits including Take You Down and Wet the Bed while gliding through the air to a smaller platform in the middle of the arena. He even sang and danced backwards while in the air.
The concert was part of Brown's ongoing tour, which will next stop at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn for two nights, before concluding with a two-show finale on August 6-7.
