A resident of South Carolina has employed a novel strategy to win a whopping $300,000 lottery without even playing the prize game regularly, according to the South Carolina Educational Lottery’s website.
He told the website that he selects "whatever ticket is sticking out the furthest", reported New York Post.
The Bluffton man further added that during his trip to a gas station, the lucky ticket was placed far away which turned out to be a big prize after he scratched.
He also revealed that he had a good feeling about the ticket, and purchased the game for $10 and his gut feeling paid off and "abruptly stopped" scratching the ticket after he saw that he won the top prize of $300,000.
He said: “I couldn’t believe it. I went home and took the rest of the day off to process his win.”
The resident of a South Carolina town paid off all of his debt after winning the prize, and is now living a free life.
The game named "Stacks of Cash" was released on December 5, 2023, according to the lottery’s website. Out of six $300,000 prizes, only three have been claimed so far.
The remaining prizes 14 amounting $10,00, according to the website, along with other numerous prizes ranging from $10 to $1,000.
