Lorraine Kelly expressed pride as her daughter Rosie revealed her baby’s gender.
Kelly, who has been married to Rosie’s father Steve Smith since 1992, seemed more than thrilled to welcome her second grand-child after Ruby.
Meanwhile, Doyenne of morning TV asked Lorraine: "Will Ruby be having a little brother or sister?"
In response, Rosie cut the cake and revealed that "It's a baby girl" while feeding her dog some fresh cake.
Speaking to Hello! Magazine, Kelly said: "This is the most exciting thing to happen to our family, well, since Rosie was born. Last night, I felt the baby kick for the first time, which was extraordinary. It made it feel real."
Rosie first found out she was pregnant on New Year’s Eve "right after buying loads of alcohol and a cold-meat platter, which I then couldn't touch," she jokingly added.
However, her mother was quick to notice the change.
She didn’t even hesitate to share her experience, admitting: "I thought she was looking a wee bit peaky, but I had no idea it was that, so it was the best possible surprise. Of course, I cried when I found out – and Rosie's dad Steve is thrilled to bits, too."
Rosie further revealed that she and Steve White were both looking forward to having a child at a young age.
She said: "We'd talked about it a lot and we both wanted to become parents quite young, so that our parents can be around for as much as possible."
For the unversed, this came after Rosie took to her Instagram Stories to announce the big news.
She posted a photo of her baby scan alongside a trio of red heart emojis in April, 2024.
