David Beckham remembers Nicola Peltz Beckham’s late grandmother
David Beckham says Naunni was the 'most amazing lady'
David Beckham mourned the death of his daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz Beckham’s grandmother Bunny.
The granny, who passed away at the age of 95 on Thursday, May 16, is affectionately referred to as Naunni by the family members.
The former footballer took the unfortunate news over social media, posting a picture with Naunni on his Instagram on Saturday, May 18.
The picture was accompanied by a heartwarming note that read, "To the most amazing lady with the most beautiful smile and laugh [white heart emoji]."
Punctuating a flying dove emoji, David, 49, added, "Rest In Peace, Naunni."
His social media update comes hours after David’s eldest son and Nicola’s husband, Brooklyn Beckham, paid a heartfelt tribute to Naunni.
Additionally, the news first went public when Nicola’s brother Bradley Peltz penned an emotional message on his Instagram earlier this week.
"Today, we lost my angel on earth," he began. "She was not only the happiest but one of my favourite souls I ever came across. She was the light that would brighten your day."
He concluded his caption with a bunny emoji, "May her soul rest in peace and in paradise in heaven. I love you Bunny."
