New futuristic $400bn US city to give tough competition to Saudi Arabia's Neom
US to get its own Neom "The Line" like city named "Telosa" in the middle of Nevada, Utah and Arizona
A new futuristic megacity is coming to the United States that will not have traditional cars but only public transport, Express reported.
This $400 billion city will house five million people in the middle of the desert.
Entrepreneur Marc Lore hopes that this new city will rival other projects such as Neom's linear city "The Line" in Saudi Arabia and the floating city Oceanix Busan in South Korea.
Named Telosa City, this city will be built in the middle of the desert between Nevada, Arizona and Utah.
Lore said that he wants Telosa to be as eco-friendly as a Scandinavian country, combined with the freedom of somewhere in the USA.
As per reports, cars using fossil fuels will be banned and instead replaced by public transport, bicycles, and autonomous vehicles.
Furthermore, Lore has announced that Telosa will have an "Equity" skyscraper as its landmark, which will feature aeroponic farms, photovoltaic panels, and water storage.
Lore also dreams of making Telosa a 15-minute city, meaning everything residents could want in their lives is available within a short distance.
He has announced that 50,000 people could be living in the 120,000-hectare city by 2030, and by 2050, this figure could reach five million.
