Will Mohamed Salah, the talented Egyptian footballer, continue his term with Liverpool or go?

The 31-year-old star footballer's contract is set to expire in just over a year.

The Egyptian forward has been a key figure at Anfield. The Liverpool club expects him to stay at Anfield. According to Sky Sports and The Athletic, the star footballer has not indicated that he wishes to leave and the club is not planning to sell.

Reports suggest that Liverpool club expects Salah to honour the final year of his contract. The club has received no signals from the player indicating a desire to leave. Despite interest from other clubs, Liverpool is not planning to part ways with their talisman.

Salah recently found himself in a public spat with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp during a match. Afterwards, he cryptically said, "There's going to be a fire today if I speak."

Earlier this season, Liverpool turned down advances from the Saudi Pro League, including a hefty £150 million bid from Al Ittihad.

Salah's goal-scoring skill has been evident, with 24 goals this season. However, his form dipped after an injury at the Africa Cup of Nations. Liverpool's overall performance has suffered, leaving them out of the Premier League title race and eliminated from the Europa League and FA Cup.

Salah's current deal, signed in 2022, pays him a reported £18 million annually. Talks about a new contract are on the horizon. Will he commit to Liverpool for the long term, or will he seek new adventures elsewhere?
