Fallout has been officially renewed for Season two at Amazon Prime Video, Variety confirmed on Thursday, April 18.
The much-anticipated announcement comes after the outlet reported that relocating shooting to California would allow a second season to receive $25 million in tax credits.
Ella Purnell is booked to star in the series with Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Sarita Choudhury, Moises Arias, Leslie Uggams, Michael Emerson, and Frances Turner.
Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton, Zach Cherry, Annabel O’Hagan. Rodrigo Luzzi and Dave Register, joined by Xelia Mendes-Jones, rounded up the lineup.
Moreover, based on the video game franchise of the same name, Fallout depicts the scene set two hundred years after the apocalypse.
According to the official description, the story follows "the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters that are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind- and are shocked to discover an incredible complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them."
Additionally, Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet will helm the upcoming series as creators, showrunners and executive producers.
Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, Athena Wickham, Todd Howard and James Altman will also serve as the executive producers.
