King Charles excludes Meghan Markle from reunion plans with Prince Harry
King Charles reportedly wishes to reconcile with his estranged son
King Charles is not willing to reconcile with Meghan Markle despite his olive branch to his estranged daughter-in-law and son Prince Harry.
According to reports, the 75-year-old monarch invited the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to the royal family’s upcoming retreat to Balmoral with their kids.
Speaking to The Mirror, royal expert Tom Quinn claimed the King is skeptical about having the Suits alum over as he believes her to be the bone of contention among the royals.
He is also reluctant about the reaction of Prince William and Kate Middeton should the Sussexes decide to join them on the Scottish estate.
"The King likely realises that inviting the Duke and Duchess may cause friction and discomfort to others at Buckingham Palace,” he told the outlet.
"After all, how could they not be knowing that anything they say could be published in a future tell-all book by Meghan or Harry,” Tom explained. “In observing the recent public behaviour of Charles and Harry, it seems that the two want to move toward reconciliation.
"Charles may not feel so inclined to do so with Meghan especially if he believes that she was largely responsible for encouraging Harry's disenchanted behaviour towards the family,” the royal expert added.
