Lauren Sanchez makes fashion statement with $2,300 gown at White House
Jeff Bezos's partner attended Joe Biden's White House dinner for Fumio Kishida
Lauren Sánchez, the fiancée of Jeff Bezos, made a daring fashion statement by dressing in a $2,300 gown that disregarded conventional dress norms at a White House state dinner.
However, in the mass of folks dressed conservatively, her clothing stood out.
On April 10, Sánchez, 54, attended the state dinner honouring Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko, wearing a dramatic crimson corset gown.
According to People, Sanchez’s dress had an off-the-shoulder neckline, a structured corset bodice, and sheer lace at the midsection.
The ensemble was complemented with silver clutch purse, diamond earrings, and metallic open-toe heels, making it stand out among the more conservatively attired guests.
Sánchez wore a glossy nude lip and smokey eye, with her hair done sleek and straight.
Sánchez shared some behind-the-scenes pictures of her glamorous preparation for the occasion, which was hosted by President Joe Biden and Dr Jill Biden. “Can't wait to show you the final look,” she wrote over a photo of herself seated in a chair, undergoing hair and makeup.
She later posted some photographs on Instagram saying, “How it started…how it ended. Such a beautiful evening in DC. Can't wait to show you more tomorrow.”
