Justin Timberlake brings back nostalgic times on stage at 2024 iHeart Awards
Justin Timberlake performed 'Selfish' and 'No Angels' from his latest album, Everything I Thought It Was
Justin Timberlake, 43, kicked off the awards show on Monday night by mashup-ing Selfish and No Angels from his most recent album, Everything I Thought It Was.
Amidst a desert-themed backdrop featuring cacti and a petrol station, Timberlake opened his show with an acoustic version of Selfish, dressed in a stylish black suit, sneakers and a pearl necklace.
Then, when he sang No Angels in front of an auto shop set piece, the *NSYNC veteran made his way to the middle of the stage to dance with the band.
Tate McRae, Lainey Wilson, Green Day, TLC, and Jelly Roll will all be playing at the event.
On March 15, Timberlake released Everything I Thought It Was. The next-to-last song, Paradise, features his *NSYNC bandmates. He unveiled the track list, which consists of eighteen tracks, on a large billboard in Los Angeles.
The pop singer claimed that his new album provided a "real" take on his life in an interview with Zane Lowe that aired on Apple Music 1 in January.
"I was able, on some of the songs, to look back at the past and have a real, not a refracted perspective of what it was because they always say ... you always hear that thing about, well, there's never any truth, there's just everybody's perspective of what happened. But to really look at it and be able to metabolize and verbalize my perspective on it, I don't think I've ever really done that before," explained Timberlake.
