Jeff Bezos is world’s richest man. But what’s rank of Mukesh Ambani?

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has surpassed Tesla founder Elon Musk in wealth, however, Mukesh Ambani is another influential wealthy man whose rank is not talked about much

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has become the richest person in the world after increasing his wealth by $23 billion this year, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, with a net worth of $200 billion.

On the other hand, Elon Musk, the head of SpaceX and social media platform X, lost $31 billion in 2024 but is now the second richest person in the world with a net worth of $198 billion.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Louis Vuitton CEO Bernard Arnault ranks third with a fortune of $197 billion, followed by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg with a fortune of $179 billion. Microsoft founder Bill Gates is in fifth place with a wealth of $150 billion.

Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani is at the eleventh position on the list with a wealth of $115 billion.

With an estimated net worth of $117.8 billion, Ambani ranks ninth among the world's wealthiest people in 2023 and is the richest man in India, according to Forbes. 

Being the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries Limited, the largest private sector corporation in India and a petroleum refining company founded by his late father Dhirubhai Ambani, is credited with contributing to the multibillionaire businessman's wealth. 

The corporation now offers financial services, retail, telecom, energy, and petrochemicals. According to Reliance's website, Ambani joined the board in 1977 after graduating as a chemical engineer.

Reliance announced Tira, their beauty retail platform, in April 2023, marking a further entry into the beauty sector, according to Reuters. Then, Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd and the Tata Group acquired Sephora's 26 Indian locations from Arvind Fashions in November 2023.
