Prince William avoids addressing Princess Kates health inquiry

Prince William faced inquiries about Princess Kate's health during a royal engagement in Wales.

The Prince of Wales attended Wrexham AFC's Racecourse Ground on Friday to mark St David's Day.

As he entered the stadium, a member of the public asked the Prince of Wales: "Can I get a selfie please?"

William replied: "Can I say hello to the team? I'll come back."

The heir to the throne was then asked: "William, how's Catherine?"

However, Prince William ignored the question and did not respond.

Princess Kate is currently recovering from abdominal surgery at her home in Windsor.

The Princess of Wales underwent the operation in January and spent two weeks in the London Clinic after the surgery.

Princess Kate is not expected to undertake any royal duties until after Easter.

Prince William took a short break from public duties following his wife Princess Kate's abdominal surgery in January.

The Prince of Wales will lead the Royal Family this week as King Charles continues receiving treatment for his cancer and Queen Camilla travel abroad for a holiday.

Prince William will be supported by Prince Edward this week as Queen Camilla takes a break from royal duties.

The Queen has been leading the Royal Family in the absence of King Charles following the monarch's cancer diagnosis but is now set for a short holiday outside of the UK to recharge.

The Queen will be back in action on March 11 to represent King Charles at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey.

Camilla is said to be buoyed by the public's reaction to her leading the Royal Family over the last few weeks.

A royal source told The Times: "Although she was not expecting to find herself in the position of leading the family, the Queen is absolutely prepared to do whatever needs to be done for the institution."
