Jaclyn Jose, a well-decorated Filipino actress died on Saturday, March 2 at the age of 60.
The Filipino actress' demise was announced by her talent agency, PPL Entertainment via a social media post.
The post read: "It saddens us to inform everyone of the untimely passing of Miss Jaclyn Jose (real name: Mary Jane Guck)."
"The Guck and Eigenmann families are requesting for everyone to please pray for the eternal repose of Miss Jaclyn Jose and for them to be allowed the respect and privacy to mourn her passing, and navigate these difficult times," the post read.
The actress contributed largely to Philippine cinema and television she first started her remarkable career working with icons in the industry, including Lino Broca and Chito S. Roño.
She garnered appreciation and praise for her work, bagging the Best Actress award at Cannes Film Festival in 2016 for her spectacular role in Brillante Mendoza’s Ma’Rosa.
Jose also graced the small screen with phenomenal appearances on shows, including Magpakailanman, Alyas Robin Hood (2016-2017), The Millionaire's Wife (2016), and Bolera (2022).
Jaclyn was married to actor Mark Gil, who passed away on September 1, 2014.
