Melania Trump has broken her silence over her mother Amalija Knavs's death as a result of suffering from a "very" bad illness.
Melania had to be by her mother Amalija Knavs's side to comfort her before she passed away, thus she was noticeably absent from the Trump family's Christmas celebrations at Mar-a-Lago.
Melania revealed the tragic news of her mother's passing in a touching ode to her.
Melania is in grief for her mother Knavs, who died following a lengthy hospital stay in Miami due to a serious illness. She declared that her mother had passed away.“‘It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved mother, Amalija."
She continued, “Amalija Knavs was a strong woman who always carried herself with grace, warmth, and dignity. She was entirely devoted to her husband, daughters, grandson, and son-in-law. We will miss her beyond measure and continue to honor and love her legacy.”
In her native Slovenia, Amalija worked as a dealer in textile production before marrying Melania's father, Viktor. After a while, she and her spouse moved to America, where they assisted their daughter in pursuing a modelling career that led to her becoming the country's first lady.
Prior to her passing, it was made public that Amalija, the former first lady, had to be by her sick mother's side for the Trump family's Christmas celebrations at Mar-a-Lago.
“Melania has always been very devoted to her entire family,” a source close to the former first lady told Fox news. “It should be no surprise that she spent this Christmas with her ailing mother.”
