Princess Kate moved to 'tears' due to Prince Harry
Kate Middleton and Prince William are currently not on speaking terms with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
Kate Middleton couldn’t hold back her tears at Prince Harry’s heartfelt speech at her wedding to his brother Prince William.
The Princess of Wales tied the knot with the prince in an opulent ceremony on April 19, 2011. The royal wedding was witnessed by thousands and thousands across the globe; hence the members of the family were forced to maintain a stoic demeanor throughout.
It was the after party of the wedding that everyone was allowed to let loose, prompting Harry to deliver a heartfelt yet humourous oration for his brother.
Writing in her book, Harry: Life, Loss, and Love, royal author Katie Nicholl wrote, "It was loving, warm and funny and touched Kate deeply. The speech was peppered with Harry's classic sense of humour, and he joked with his brother, 'William didn't have a shred of romance before he met Kate'."
It has been claimed that the Spare author’s poignant words moved the then Duchess of Cambridge to tears.
However, in rather acrimonious revelations, Harry accused the Royal Family of lying about him being the best man at the wedding of his older brother in his memoir.
He claimed: "The public had been told that I was to be best man, but that was a bare-faced lie. The public expected me to be best man, and thus the Palace saw no choice but to say that I was."
According to the Daily Express, William chose for James Meade and Thomas Van Straubenzee to be his best men.
