A youth lost his life while performing stunts on his bike in the South Cantt area on Sunday. The youth was identified as Fahad. Police said that the boy was performing stunts on his bike when he lost control over the steering and went straight into the fence of Cavalry Chowk. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Three held for illegal hunting: Punjab Wildlife Department arrested three people for illegal hunting here on Sunday.
The officials said a raiding team constituted by Director General, Wildlife, Khalid Ayaz Khan and headed by Wildlife Officer, Sheikhupura, Fateh Ullah Shah conducted a raid with the help of Pakistan Rangers and arrested three brothers Arshad Ali, Naeem Ali and Rehmat Ali for illegal hunting of waterfowls in border areas.
A case was registered against them and Rs 30,000 fine was imposed on them.
Car kills motorcyclist: A 25-year-old bike rider was killed by a speeding car in the Nawab Town area on Sunday.The victim identified as Ahmad was passing through the Nawab Town area when a rashly-driven car hit him, as a result, he received serious injuries. The car rider fled the scene. The injured youth was taken to hospital where he died. Police shifted the body to morgue.
VEHICLES BURNT: A car and two rickshaws were completely damaged in two different fire incidents here on Sunday.
Two rickshaws were damaged when a fire broke out in a rickshaw showroom near Jain Mandar, Old Anarkali on Sunday. Cause of fire was said to be a short circuit.
Meanwhile, a car, parked in a parking lot near Butt Chowk, Ghaziabad, caught fire under mysterious circumstances. On being informed, the firefighters rushed to the scenes and extinguished fire.
