Court seeks SHO’s reply in teen rape case

An additional district and sessions court Tuesday sought comments from Racecourse SHO on a bail petition filed by six accused nominated in a rape case of a 15 years old girl.

The court directed the SHO to submit his reply in this regard by January 13.

As per details, six accused had filed their bail application contending that they were innocent and had nothing to do with the crime of rape with minor girl. They said police did not have any evidence against them. Moreover, medical report has also revealed that their DNA samples are not matched. They implored the court to grant them bail as they are ready to cooperate with investigation in any regard.

However, the investigation officer stated before the court that yet the victim girl had to record her statement before the magistrate concerned and sought more time to submit record of the case.

The court after hearing both the parties granted more time to the SHO for submission of the case record.

As per incident details, a resident of Multan Road was allegedly kidnapped by eight men and raped in a local hotel on Mall Road. Through a cellphone message, the family of the victim girl came to know that she was lying unconscious in the hotel.

The family approached the police and lodged an FIR against eight accused including Adnan Sanaullah said to be close to the ruling party under Sections 376 and 506 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Police added abduction to the list of charges against the eight accused.

The victim girl, an 8th class student, is receiving medical treatment at Services Hospital. The initial medical tests confirmed that she was subjected to rape.
