Six human traffickers arrested; 45 passports recovered

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), in its crackdown on human-smugglers and fraudulent elements in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, arrested six human-traffickers and recovered 45 passports from their possession.

FIA Director Inam Ghani said that the investigation agency conducted a raidon the Premier Travel & Tourslocated in Al-Baber Plaza, F-8 Markaz, Islamabad, and arrested two human-smugglers identified as Muhammad Kamran and Shahid Nazeer. As many as20 passports of different persons were recovered from them.

In another raid, FIA Islamabad-Zone Director Inam Ghani said that the FIA arrested Syed Kamran Shah, a CDA inspector, from Sector G-15, Islamabad. The accused was wanted in a case (FIR No.53/2015) under Sections 109, 420, 468, 471 PPC r/w 5(2)47. The accused had submitted fake B.Com degree of Allama Iqbal Open University in CDA and subsequently managed to get the job of enforcement inspector in the civic body. A raid was conducted on the Rahat Bakery, Saddar, Rawalpindi, in which human-trafficker Yasir Qayum was arrested and three passports were recovered from him.

In another raid on Ali Plaza, Chur Chowk, Rawalpindi, a human-smuggler named Haq Nawaz was arrested and 19 passports and five fake driving licences were recovered from him. Haq Nawaz has been operating the office of Aizaz Enterprises for three months. The owner of Aizaz Enterprises is already in jail and Haq Nawaz was looking after affairs in his absence.

The FIA Islamabad Zone conducted a raid on Ali Arcade Parking, 6th Road, Rawalpindi, in which a human-smuggler, Jibran Mubarik, was arrested after recovery of three passports from his possession.

FIA Islamabad Zone Director Inam Ghani along with Q Mobile representative conducted a raid on Chaudhary Traders, Sarhad Plaza, Saddar Rawalpindi, against pirated and counterfeit accessories of QMobile, and recovered 140 counterfeit or pirated Q Mobile accessories. The owner of the shop, Tanvir Iqbal, a resident of Muslim Town, Chirah Road, Rawalpindi, was arrested and a case (FIR No. 01/2016) under Sections109PPC, 66, 66-A , 67 CRO was registered.

FIA Director Inam Ghani said that the FIA has arrested two fraudsters namely Ali Ashraf Malik, a resident of House 99, Street 40, Sector G-10/4, Islamabad, and Muhammad Javed Sultan, relationship manager at the JS Bank, I-9 Markaz, Islamabad, in a case (FIR No.01/2016) under Sections 409, 420, 468, 471, 109 PPC. Ali Ashraf Malik with the connivance of Muhammad Javed Sultan obtained a loan of Rs10 million from the JS Bank against fake allotment letter of CDA plot no. 199, Street 20, G-10/2, Islamabad.

On January 7, 2016, the FIA Immigration at Islamabad Airport arrested a human-smuggler and proclaimed offender, Eatsham-ul-Haq, a resident of Mardan, who trying to flee from the country on flight number PK-741.The arrested man is the husband of a PIA airhostess, who used to run a business of travel agent, student consultant and used to run an office at Chandani Chowk by the name of ‘Kraker Consultants.'
