17 police officers transferred

Inspector General Police Punjab Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has issued orders of transfer and posting of three SPs, seven ASPs and seven DSPs with immediate effect on Tuesday.Additional SP CRO Umar Riaz Cheema has been transferred and asked to report to the Central Police Office. Sources said Cheema was senior to the incumbent SSP Lahore Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera and the former was not comfortable working under his junior. Umar Farooq Salamat, awaiting posting, has replaced Umar Cheema as Additional SP CRO SP Special Branch Faisalabad Region Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi has been posted as SP Punjab Highway Patrol, Sargodha. ASP Capt (r) Dost Muhammad has been posted as SDPO Ahmadpur Sharqia Bahawalpur, Allah Dad Lak as SDPO Fortabbas, Bahawalnagar, DSP Nasir Ali Saqib as SDPO City Rahimyar Khan, DSP Ashfaq as DSP PHP Punjab, ASP Sameer Noor as SDPO Makhdoom Rashid Multan, DSP Masood as SDPO Mumtaz Abad Multan, ASP Ayaz as SDPO Gujar Khan, Rawalpindi, ASP Ambreen as SDPO Kotli Sattian, Rawalpindi, ASP Zubair Nazir Ahmad Sheikh as SDPO Kamonki, DSP Razakaar Hussain in Punjab Constabulary, ASP Usman Tariq Butt as SDPO Chung, ASP Ali Mardan Khosa as SDPO Alipur Muzaffargarh, DSP Nasrullah Khan Niazi as SDPO Chanab Nagar and DSP Tariq has been posted to Special Branch.

warden system: Establishment of warden system in the rest of 30 districts of Punjab, change of police uniform and training's progress of the Dolphin Force were the main points of discussion of a high level meeting held at the Central Police Office Lahore on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Punjab Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera.

Addl: IGP Traffic Punjab Rai Altaf Hussain told the media that in six districts including Lahore, Gujranwala, Multan, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Sialkot, the traffic warden system was already working successfully. He also told the media that existing 4,787 Punjab Traffic Police officials had been given the status of wardens and after the approval of the government for recruitment of 1,000 new wardens, the total strength would be 5,787.

The meeting also short-listed two colours and patterns for the change of police uniform. It was also decided in the meeting that new uniform would be properly registered so that the sanctity and authority of the uniform could be maintained besides stopping the misuse of the force’s uniform. DIG Operation Lahore told the IGP that training of the Dolphin Force would be completed by the mid of February 2016 and the inspection process of 300 motorcycles had also been completed.
