LAHORE : One corona patient died and 172 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours in the City.
Reviewing COVID-19 current data, Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Secretary Sarah Aslam highlighted elevation in corona cases due to the Delta variant.
In the last 24 hours, the number of overall deaths from corona in Punjab was six, taking the number of total deaths to 10,871 till date. Following the intensive vaccination drive, a huge increase has been observed in vaccination ratio, the health secretary said. She said only vaccination was the remedy against COVID-19 and its new Delta variant.
In the recent 24 hours, 313,235 people were vaccinated in Punjab while 352,832 people were vaccinated the day before which is the highest number in a single day so far. During the last 24 hours, 30,977 people were vaccinated in Lahore. A total of 12,262,472 people have been vaccinated across Punjab.
