Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. However, a shallow westerly wave is likely to affect upper areas of country during next 12 hours.
In the next 24 hours, mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in upper KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan divisions), Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore divisions), Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
The maximum temperature in the city on Tuesday was 36 degrees Celsius while in the country was 41°C at Sh Benazirabad.
