LAHORE:Investigation Police Badamibagh arrested a man and his son for killing his newlywed daughter-in-law a couple of days back.
The victim Maryam, 17, was killed by her husband Abdul Rehman and father-in-law Akhtar Gul, who is also her paternal uncle, over a petty issue. They had killed her with a computer cable and a water pipe. DIG Investigations Inam Waheed announced commendatory certificate for the police team.
5 dacoits arrested: Johar Town police claimed to have arrested five dacoits and recovered cash, gold ornaments, two bikes, a loader rickshaw and illegal weapons from their custody. Cases have also been traced against them. Further investigation is under way.
Eid gifts: Sector Commander Motorway Police (M-3) SSP Syed Hashmat Kamal on the directions DIG Sultan Ch distributed Eid gifts among road users of M-3 at main toll plazas, Sharaqpur Sharif and Darkhana. Kids and families were given gift packs. The media coordinator, Majid Rafiq Minhas, said SSP Syed Hashmat Kamal emphasised upon providing help to distressed road users as per the DIG’s instructions. He said no compromise on dignity and good image of NHMP will be made.
