Sharif said hard working students like Kamran Wajid were asset of the nation. He said the Punjab government was spending billions of rupees on the downtrodden but hardworking and talented youths. He announced that the Punjab government would bear the education expenses of Kamran Wajid and materialise the dream of talented orphan student for getting further education.
The chief minister said despite difficult situation, Kamran Wajid had shown an excellent performance in inter examinations and we all are proud of his excellent success, he added.
Istanbul Expo: A delegation led by Chairman All Industrialists and Businessmen Association Istanbul Yasar Dogan called on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, here Monday. Matters of mutual interest, promotion of Pak-Turk relations and increase in cooperation in different sectors were discussed in the meeting.The chief minister said there were historical and friendly relations between Pakistan and Turkey and economic ties between the two countries were strengthening with the passage of time. He said a number of Turk companies were investing in various sectors in Pakistan especially Punjab due to which economic relations between the two countries had strengthened. He said that economic relations between Pakistan and Turkey would further strengthen with the exchange of trade and industrial delegations and the Expo going be held in Istanbul next month was of vital importance in this regard. He said a delegation from Punjab would also participate in expo in Istanbul. He said Punjab-Turkish Desk had been set up at Punjab Investment Board which would play an important role in promotion of industrial, trade and economic relations between the two countries. He said the Punjab government wanted to set up a theme park in Lahore and it would welcome Turk cooperation in this regard.
The delegation chairman expressed the desire to promote cooperation with the Punjab government in tourism and other sectors and said that participation of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Expo going to be held in Istanbul in October would be a matter of pleasure. He said the Expo would be inaugurated by Turk President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The Turk delegation formally invited Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to participate in the Expo and said that Pakistani pavilion would also be set up in the Expo.
