LAHORE: A meeting was held to review the art and cultural activities at Alhamra Art Centre, The Mall, on Thursday. The meeting was chaired by Lahore Art Council Board of Governors Chairperson Ms Muneeza Hashmi.
Different upcoming cultural projects were discussed. Different decisions were taken, including the decision to hold the First Alhamra Women's Festival on March 8. Muneeza Hashmi said Alhamra would take systematic and concrete steps to strengthen the cultural and literary traditions.
Ms Hashmi said that the family theatre had been renovated and equipped with modern requirement. She said Alhamra would publish international level catalog on more than 325 artworks by 118 world-renowned artists which were displayed at Alhamra Art Museum. Lahore Art Council Executive Director Ather Ali Khan said there would be no compromise on the quality of the commercial stage plays in Alhamra and monitoring of commercial plays would be tightened to provide quality entertainment to the masses.
