The petitioner company, Yousaf wala, through its lawyer pleaded that power plant is being run with the help of Pakistan Railways which fetched coal from the different parts of the country for the plant. He said PRA had sent a notice to collect services sale tax.

He pointed out that PR is a federally-run department and provincial department PRA was not legally authorised to collect services sale tax from the petitioner company. After hearing initial arguments, Justice Shahid Jamil stayed the operation of impugned notice and sought reply from PRA.
