Traffic plan

LAHORE:City Traffic Police made comprehensive plan for smooth flow of traffic on New Year night. At least 100 barricades were set up at roads including, Model Town, Gulberg, MM Alam Road, Cavalry, Mall Road and Jail Road to stop youngsters from one wheeling. SP Hammad Raza Qureshi said bikes were diverted to service lanes to manage traffic on The Mall. City Traffic police also launched campaign to educate parents about the dangers of one-wheeling. Earlier, Lahore police took surety bonds from 465 people who had the record of one wheeling. The CCPO said that 339 bike mechanics and 112 owners of farm houses also submitted surety bonds. Moreover, 181 people having record of firing were also bound not to get involved in the illegal activity. Police also took bonds from the owners of 38 high-rise buildings.
