Body of woman found

Rawalpindi: A Body of a woman was found under debris in an under construction building from a plaza at Double Road, Rawalpindi on Saturday.

Police and rescue 1122 officials shifted the body of a 45-year-old woman identified as Nasreen Bibi w/o Sajawal Khan. Police and rescue 1122 officials are yet to find out reason behind the death.

According to police, some people found the body of a woman under debris in an under construction plaza and informed the police. The rescue officials have shifted the body to Holy Family Hospital (HFH) for post-mortem. In another incident at Dhoke Darziya near Pirwadhai four minor children were burnt. According to an initial investigation, children burnt because of gas cylinder leakage.

Rescue Official spokesman Farooq Butt told ‘The News’ that all four children were shifted to the hospital for medical treatment.

Tarnol police arrested three accused namely Ghulam Fareed, Vicky and Sikander and recovered stolen valuable from their possession while police also recovered on 12-bore gun from the possession of arrested accused Shahways. Ramana police arrested accused Aman-Ullah and recovered pistol along with ammunition from him. Khanna police arrested two accused Noor Hussain and Matook Sagar and recovered one 30-bore pistol and 110 gram heroin from their possession.

Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud din Syed has said that Islamabad Police is committed to eliminate Qabza-Mafia from the capital. He further directed all police officers to continue crackdown against land grabbers. He said it is prime responsibility of police to ensure protection to the lives and property of citizens and it would be ensured at every cost.
