In a press statement, he said the nation could not forget the day of 16 December as the day would be remembered as a black day in Pakistan’s history. “Today, we desperately need to stand as a nation to ensure the safety of our children and a concerted effort is required for the protection of our children,” he added. He claimed that pollution caused by transport was one of the major reasons for bad air quality and the government was working to introduce electric and hybrid technology in the sector after which air pollution could be reduced by 90 per cent. He said that Clean and Green Pakistan was the vision of the government and all available resources were being utilised to realise it.
