Punjabi literature and culture moot

LAHORE:The World Punjabi Congress is holding its 30th International Conference on Punjabi literature and culture designated to Guru Nanak Dev from February 14 to 18, 2020.

The five days conference will be held in a local hotel in Lahore. This was decided in a meeting of the WPC executive committee and advisory council held at the residence of its chairman Fakhar Zaman. He told the participants that 110 delegates from India, the US, Canada, the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Singapore, Denmark and Australia will participate it, therefore, it would be the biggest Punjabi conference both in India and Pakistan. Topics of the conference are an overview on recent Punjabi poetry, novel, criticism, film and drama, heroic tradition of Punjab and Punjabi journalism, building bridges of normalcy between India and Pakistan. First day will be reserved for Guru Nanak Dev, his teachings and message. A mushaira, cultural event and documentary on Baba Farid and Bullhe Shah by Farrukh Zaman are part of the programme. Delegates will visit the Kartarpur Sahib and Nankana Sahib during the last two days of the conference.
