An evening with Ishtiaq Jaffri

LAHORE:A series of events called "Aik Sham Fankaron Ke Naam" organised by Lahore Arts Council was held at Alhamra Cultural Complex, Gaddafi Stadium.

The event celebrated a beautiful and memorable evening with musician, singer and teacher Ishtiaq Jaffri. During the event, renowned film director Hassan Askari and music teacher Sajjad Tafu highlighted the life and work experience of Ishtiaq Jaffri and paid tribute to his technical services.

Lahore Arts Council Executive Director Ather Ali Khan said Alhamra always remembers its heroes and artistes because its aim is to support art and artiste as they did a lot in the field of art to highlight name of our country. He said, “we give our best to meet the expectation of people from Alhamra as it is one of the mightiest platforms ever excited in Pakistan to ensure the inequitable excellence in the domains of cultural legacy and performing arts.” Regarding the performance of students of Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts, he stated that Lahore Arts Council would keep continuing this effort to encourage, engage and empower our youths as they are the actual source to achieve a better future for our beloved country”.

NCA Degree Show: Annual Degree Show of Master of Visual Art Department of the National College of Arts (NCA) was inaugurated here Monday. The show displaying the work of nine students of the 19th batch of the department was inaugurated by Punjab Minister for Higher Education Raja Yasir Humayun. The show will continue until December 15.

workshop: The Department of Diagnostic Radiology KEMU/Mayo Hospital Lahore organised ‘Hands on Workshop on Interventional Radiology and Live Sessions’ here on Monday in collaboration with 39h KEMU/KEMCAANA/ KEMCA UK Annual Symposium. Prof Khalid Masood Gondal, Vice Chancellor KEMU, graced the occasion as chief guest. Prof Asad Aslam Khan, Chief Executive Officer, Mayo Hospital and Dr Tahir Khalil, Chief Operating Officer, Mayo Hospital were also present.
