LAHORE
City District Government Lahore (CDGL) has failed to implement its own SOPs to ensure dengue larvae prevention at its own premises as a huge quantity of dengue larvae was recovered from CDGL’s Asphalt plant here Friday.
Asphalt plant is situated on Outfall Road just a five minutes drive from the office of District Coordination Officer (DCO) Lahore. It is pertinent to mention here that presence of dengue larvae from a CDGL’s premises so close to the office of DCO Lahore clearly shows the priorities of the administration.
Citizens of Lahore raised serious concern over this incident and urged Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to take severe action against the responsible officials who failed to ensure the SOPs. It is worth mentioning that recently dengue larva was found from the Turkish contractor of LWMC.
