The Lahore High Court on Tuesday gave last opportunity to Lahore Development Authority to present the record of plots distributed among different people in Garden Town by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif when he was the Punjab chief minister in 1988.
Justice Farrukh Irfan Khan also directed the director general of Anti Corruption Establishment to submit the record of the inquiry held for the allotment of plots by the next hearing on Sept 15. A citizen through Advocate Noshab A. Khan has filed the petition pleading that Nawaz Sharif had misused his powers by distributing plots among his blue-eyed persons and ignored the deserving. The counsel said he had no power to allot any land to anyone without auction and due course of law.
