LAHORE : Barabri Party Pakistan Chairman Jawad Ahmad has criticized Prime Minister Imran Khan over rising prices of medicines. In a meeting with workers at the party’s central secretariat, he criticised the role of the federal health minister and said that he must not shy away from the price hike of drugs. “A prescription drug which was previously priced at Rs100 is now selling at a retail price of Rs588. The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) does not seem to be functioning effectively and drugs have gone out of reach of 99pc people of the country,” he added.
