LAHORE
The City District Government Lahore (CDGL) will establish 27 Ramazan bazaars in the provincial metropolis to ensure the provision of necessary food items at controlled rates.
This was revealed by DCO Lahore Capt Usman while chairing a meeting on Monday.
He said the planned Ramazan arrangements would be better than that of the previous year. He said the CDGL would surely utilise all its resources to provide maximum facilities to the citizens.
The DCO further revealed that along with the establishment of Ramazan bazaars, the CDGL would also establish 18 free Dastarkhawans, two in each town of the city. He said the committees, consisting of officials concerned for the purchase and supply of fruit, vegetable and flour, had also been nominated, which were currently involved in the preparation.
Ramazan bazaars will be established in all the nine towns of the city. In Gulberg Town, these bazaars will be established at Model Town, Link Road, Makka Colony, Barkat Market and at Bab-e-Pakistan Walton Road. In Nishtar Town, these bazaars will be established at Township, Nishtar Colony, Kahna Nau. An Ravi Town, these bazaars will be established at Chowk Begum Kot Shahdara, Outside Delhi Gate and General Buss Stand Shahdara Town.
At Samanabad Town, these bazaars will be established at Wahdat Colony, Gulshan-e-Ravi, Moon Market Allama Iqbal Town and Nadeem Shaheed Road.
At DGBT, these bazaars will be established at Shadman and Islampura. At Iqbal Town, these bazaars will be established at Johar Town, Sabzazar and Thokar Niaz Beig.
