The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA), Lahore, has criticised the Punjab Health Department’s policy of outsourcing services to private parties, terming it a conspiracy to privatising the department. In an executive committee meeting of the PMA, Lahore chapter, held at the PMA House, Lahore on Sunday, under the chairmanship of its president Dr Tanveer Anwar, it was resolved that the Health Department was wrongly planning to award jobs to its favourites after their retirement and to recruit them in hospitals and medical colleges.
