THE Lahore High Court Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah on Tuesday issued notice on a petition challenging appointment of Aitchison College’s Board of Governors (BoG).
Judge directed a senior officer of the college to appear with record on May 11.
Justice issued the directions while hearing a petition moved by Fasihuddin, a former Aitchisonian.
Petitioner counsel submitted that appointments were not made on merit and were based on policy of nepotism. He alleged that illegal appointments had damaged the repute of this prestigious institution. He said the newly appointed BoG changed admission policy in the college in the name of implementing merit.
