He directed DG (T&R) to have close liaison with Police Training College Sihala for Investigator’s Basic Induction Course-VII (2015) for the incoming investigation officers on modern lines. The chairman NAB directed Training and Research Division NAB to speed up work on the proper functioning of NAB forensic LAB so that all cases are investigated with state of the art facility.
He further asked DG (T&R) to put up report on the current status of establishment of NAB Anti-Corruption Training Academy on the pattern of Malaysian Anti-Corruption Academy (MACA) so that NAB may establish its own Anti-Corruption Training Academy in order to cater for capacity building training needs of its investigation officers and prosecutors on modern lines.
The DG T&R Division of the NAB informed the meeting that process of recruitment of 132 investigation officers from BS-16 to BS-18 has been initiated by NAB which is likely to be completed very soon.
The T&R Division NAB Headquarter is accordingly planning to arrange the Investigator’s Basic Induction Course-VII (2015) for the incoming Investigation Officers.
The previous course contents were circulated to all Regional NABs and Divisions/Wings of NAB Headquarter for suggestions. As a result of this exercise on the basis of input obtained, the course contents have been accordingly readjusted.
He further informed that the adjustments had been incorporated within the seven training modules namely on law enforcement, government working, law, investigation, white collar crimes, prevention regime and study visits.
The training is accordingly planned for Investigator’s Basic Induction Course-VII (2015) for the incoming investigation officers at Police Training College Sihala where ample facilities like faculty and staff, class rooms/lecture halls, conference room, computer lab, library, cafeteria and hostel accommodation for the participants are available for such training.
