LAHORE
Identification of two people lynched by the Youhanabad incident protesters has been ascertained.
The victims have been identified as Hafiz Muhammad Naeem of Lalyani and Babar Nauman of Sargodha.
On Monday, Saleem, brother of Naeem, approached the police and lodged a complaint that his brother was lynched.
Family of the other victim told the police on Tuesday that the other victim was their son. They said Babar Nauman worked in a hosiery factory near Gajjumatta and after the incident he went missing.
Body of Naeem was handed over to his family for burial. He was buried in his hometown on Tuesday. Family of Babar Nauman submitted an application to the court for exhumation.
Police said the initial investigations have confirmed their identity. SSP Investigations Rana Ayaz Saleem said the process of the identification of people involved in lynching and burning of the two people continued.
