The corrupt elements refusing to accept judiciary’s supremacy were playing with country’s future only to escape the grip of law, he said while delivering Friday sermon at Mansoora masjid. He said if supremacy of judiciary was not accepted and the institutions were not allowed to work freely, the country would plunge into anarchy and chaos. He said corruption mafia would not be able to digest their unlawful wealth as the nation fully stood behind the judiciary and the state institutions. Sirajul Haq said the amnesty schemes were announced only to protect the unlawful income of the corrupt. He said a deaf, dumb and blind system prevailed in the country and the ruling elite was maligning the institutions to maintain the status quo.

He said masses had overjoyed with the beginning of the accountability of big plunderers, but rulers believing themselves above the law were trying their level best to make the institutions controversial. He said masses rightly considered the ruling elite responsible for all their problems. He said the rulers considered themselves Mughal princes but they were more worse than them because the Mughals had built their palaces within their empire but the present ones had built palaces in other countries. He said in the current situation, it had become imperative to bring the 500 billion dollars of the nation lying abroad back to the country so that this amount could be spent on public welfare.

He asked the masses to rise against the oppressive system as this was also the dictate of their religion. He noted that Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) had sacrificed his entire family, including 72 holy personalities and small children at Karbala but had refused to accept Yazid as a lawful ruler. He said the battle of the truth and falsehood would continue till the doomsday and only those would be the successful who upheld the banner of truth and righteousness.

He said Allah Almighty had blessed Pakistan with unlimited resources of men and material but the rulers had not properly utilised these resources. Instead of spending these resources on the masses welfare, the rulers had been amassing wealth and building their empires and bank balances. Along with that, the rulers had made the country a slave of the IMF and the nation had to pay huge amounts in interest. He said had the distribution of wealth been fair and just the masses would not have been facing the problems of disease, illiteracy and unemployment.
