FORMER dean of Post Graduate Medical Institute Prof Dr Ejaz Ahsan Wednesday urged medical experts and doctors to follow international professional norms and practices along with modern medical research-based treatment techniques to combat new epidemics and diseases.
According to a press release, addressing an inaugural session of Fifth Annual Scientific Symposium held at Lahore General Hospital titled “Change of approach in medical profession”, Prof Ejaz said the LGH and the PGMI have performed vital role in eliminating dengue, measles and other diseases for which credit goes to Principal Prof Anjum Habib Vohra.
The first session was addressed by Prof Anjum Habib Vohra, Prof Syed Asghar Naqi, Prof Agha Shibir Ali, Prof Khalid Mahmood, Prof Nazir Ahmed and others.
Ex deans of PGMI, faculty members, students and a large numbers of doctors from all over the country attended the symposium. Earlier, Vohra said that holding of annual scientific symposium at LGH in February has become a permanent feature.
He resolved to change the institute into a state-of-the-art hospital by conducting such medical seminars, workshops and symposiums continuously.
