Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said all out resources are being utilised for the protection of life and property of people and necessary steps are being taken for the improvement of law and order in the province.
The CM was chairing a meeting on Wednesday to review overall law and order situation. Inspector General Police presented initial report regarding the incident of terrorism near Police Lines Lahore. The CM said a modern and fully trained Counter Terrorism Force has been set up in the province which will play an effective and vibrant role for eliminating terrorism.
He said the security plan should be fully implemented. He said Safe City Project will also be an example of standard and transparency like other projects of the government. Shahbaz Sharif said an effective and consolidated intelligence system is of utmost importance for success in the war against terrorism, therefore, special attention should be paid for strengthening intelligence wing of Counter-Terrorism Force.

He sought a report from DPO Muzaffargarh and ordered that the criminals should be arrested and legal action be taken against them as such incidents were intolerable.
GRIEVED: Shahbaz Sharif expressed grief over the death of three children due to fire in a vehicle in Garh Maharaja, Jhang. The chief minister sympathised with the bereaved family and sought a report from district administration. He ordered that best treatment facilities be provided to the injured.
PEF: The Punjab cabinet, which met here on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, praised Punjab Education Foundation Chairman Engineer Qamar-ul-Islam Raja for eradicating corruption in the PEF.
According to a press release issued by DGPR here, while discussing the good efforts of Qamar-ul-Islam for purging PEF of
corruption, the CM said Qamar took stern action against corrupt elements and kicked them out.
