in a quarter with another person. He had a minor dispute with accused person, Yaseen. On the day of the incident, the accused person got furious, stabbed Ali Khan and fled. Some neighbours of the victim informed the police and Edhi ambulance, which rushed him to Ganga Ram Hospital, but he died on the way.
Police collected forensic evidences and informed the family of the victim. No FIR was registered till filing of this report.
ARRESTED: Shalimar police have arrested three members of a mobile phone and purse snatcher gang and recovered illegal arms, cash and other valuables from their possession Tuesday.
Arrested accused persons were identified as ringleader Bilawal alias Bhaloo, Kashif alias Kashi and Safdar. Police have recovered a motorbike, Rs150,000 cash, seven mobile phones, three pistols, 11 bullets and other household items from their possession.

Accidents: At least 601 road traffic accidents were reported to the Rescue 1122’s Provincial Monitoring Cell in all the 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours in which four lives were lost and 478 seriously injured were shifted to different hospitals of the relevant districts. However, some 224 minor injured were provided first aid by the Rescue 1122 on the spot.
According to data provided by the PMC, 220 drivers, 18 underage drivers, 145 pedestrians and 341 passengers were among the injured of these road traffic accidents. The statistics show 130 RTAs were reported to Lahore Control Room, which affected 150 persons placing the provincial capital at the top of the list followed by 61 RTAs in Faisalabad with 79 victims and Gujranwala at third position with 43 RTAs and 47 victims. Details further show that total 706 persons were affected by the road traffic crashes including 573 males and 133 females, while the age group of the affected persons show that 117 were under 18 years of age, 393 were between 18 and 40 years and rest of the 196 injured people were reported above 40 years. According to the data, 471 motorbikes, 77 auto rickshaws, 68 motorcars, 35 vans, four passenger buses, 23 trucks and 63 other types of auto vehicles and slow moving carts were involved in the aforesaid road traffic accidents.
