Delivering Friday sermon at Qur’an Academy, he said had Pakistan been made a genuine Islamic Welfare State following the pledge made during the Pakistan Movement by Quaid-e-Azam and other leaders, our nation would never have encountered the problems and security threats that have engulfed the country today. He said Pakistan had a deep-rooted knot with Islam and the Qur’an and had been created on Lailatul Qadr. He remarked that our country was the vision of Allama Iqbal and the speeches of Quaid-e-Azam both before and after its creation clearly showed that they wanted our nation to be a genuine Islamic Welfare State. The iconic slogan “Pakistan ka Matlab kya? La Illaha Ill Allah” raised during the Pakistan Movement was also part of the same inspiration.
